Our Story
From a back-room LAN to East London’s gaming home
We started as five friends renting a damp basement off Old Street with a stack of monitors and far too many energy drinks. A decade later HyperTreasureProtocol is a full studio, academy and lounge sitting on Rivington Street — still obsessed with the same thing: helping people get better at the games they love.

The basement LAN
Founded as a weekend LAN club below a Shoreditch print shop, running 16-player CS brackets for £5 entry.
01 - 2018
Academy launches
Brought on our first full-time ranked coaches and built structured bootcamps for FPS and MOBA players.
02 - 2021
Studio & build team
Opened a development bay and started shipping client games and prototypes on Unity and Unreal.
03 - 2024
The Rivington floor
Moved into our 28 Rivington Street home — a 40-seat lounge, two casting booths and a soundproofed production room.

Not at all. We run cohorts grouped by skill level, from first-time competitors to players pushing for top ranks. During your free rank audit we place you with a coach and peers at a similar level so the pace feels right.
Our coaches specialise in popular FPS and MOBA titles, and our build team works across Unity and Unreal Engine. If you are unsure whether your title is covered, send us a message and we will confirm within a day.
We are at 28 Rivington Street in Shoreditch, a short walk from Old Street station. The lounge and studio are open from 10:00 to 23:00, seven days a week, with bookable sessions throughout the day and evening.
Yes. Our esports production team handles everything from 16-player brackets to multi-day invitationals, including casting, streaming and on-site seating for up to 40 guests. Day rates start at £950 and we will tailor a quote to your event.
No. The members lounge runs on a rolling monthly membership at £45, so you can pause or cancel whenever you need. Members also get priority booking on practice pods and free entry to our quiz nights.
